HVAC – Plumbers Apprentice

Trademasters, an award-winning contractor, has over 30 years of industry experience and offers complete facility operations management, maintenance, and repairs to millions of square feet of premium government buildings and office spaces and provides services for all the following systems or needs: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, call-desk operations, steam, boilers, UPS, generators, custodial, grounds, pest control, fire control systems, elevators, gates, bollards, service calls, architectural, structural and building systems.

Trademasters is seeking to hire HVAC and Plumber apprentices or helpers. If you’re motivated to succeed in learning and enjoy mechanical and technical work in the trades or in school for HVAC or Plumbing we have an excellent opportunity and will support your path to success.  We offer a generous compensation package with benefit coverages beginning on your first day with us at Trademasters!   

Job Duties:

  • Work to support logistics and the warehouse to put away stock and pull orders, or prepare orders
  • Pick up equipment and materials at shop or supply shops and deliver to the job site
  • Help install equipment in a timely fashion
  • Keep the job site clean and in order
  • Assist lead installer or service technicians with tasks needed that will involve installation, maintenance, troubleshooting systems and equipment, and any associated components of operations 
  • Provide excellent customer service to residential customers and commercial/government clients
  • Bring all remaining trash and materials to the warehouse, break down equipment, or unload
  • Ability to learn from hands-on experience and gradually progress in the HVAC or Plumbing fields
  • Operate company vehicle in a safe manner and obey traffic laws
  • Learn the trade to progress in becoming a seasoned and licensed tradesperson 
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduation from high school or GED equivalent
  • Valid driver s license with a good driving record
  • HVAC/Plumbing experience, 1 year (preferred) 
  • EPA Universal (preferred)
  • OSHA-10 (preferred) 
  • Forklift certification (preferred)
  • Must pass drug screening and background check

COVID Policy: Prospective and/or new employees will be required to adhere to Trademasters vaccination policy. Employees working onsite must comply with customer requirements which may include mandatory vaccination, mandatory attestation regarding one’s vaccination status, and mandatory weekly testing. If applicable, prospective, or new employees may seek an exemption to the vaccination requirement and must have an approved exemption prior to the start of their employment.

 Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to perform manual labor that requires standing or walking/moving up to 85% of the time, as well as working on ladders over 12 feet, crouching, bending, and accessing constricted spaces.
  • Reach and pull to work on equipment; and to use hands, arms, and legs in using tools and materials.
  • Ability to lift, carry and move objects in excess of fifty (50) pounds.
